In a recent media interaction at the Chennai Comic Con event, Lokesh Kanagaraj addressed several inquiries about his future projects, including a question concerning the potential for a sequel to Leo.

Lokesh stated, "The prospect of Leo 2 is certainly feasible, contingent upon specific circumstances aligning. Currently, his (Thalapathy Vijay) aspirations differ, and I commend him for that. There remains a potential for Leo 2, and I will proceed with it if and when he reaches out to me."
In addressing the feedback regarding the latter part of Leo, Lokesh remarked, "I am aware of the critiques concerning the second half of Leo, and I will consider this feedback for my upcoming project with Rajinikanth."
